"That's a lot of Rules..."Why yes it is! However if you see most are common sense and boil down to being a decent person. We believe in transparency, hence the creation of a clear and comprehensive rule set that removes the room for personal bias or subjective potential (This is also why we post our rules publicly). All rules are enforced equally regardless of who you are.
General Rules & Discord Rules1) Stardust Members are required to maintain membership in Discord server.
Discord is the social and administrative backbone of HS-RP, for this reason membership is mandatory. If you do not wish to be part of this then we will be more than happy to find you an alternative FC. We do not make many announcements, do not mute the announcement channel.2) Do NOT Ping Administration directly via @mentions, DM, or tells.
Responding to something said via the reply feature is acceptable, so long as it is relevant to what is being discussed. If you have a question or concern for the administration team this can be posted in the 'questions for admin' channel or submitted via a Concerns/Grievance form found in the 'contact admin' channel and an admin will contact you or respond accordingly. An emergency can be defined as the following:- Imminent threat of harm to HS-RP members or FC Property
- Third party threats to HS-RP in game (Example: AoE Griefing on FC grounds)3) Be courteous to your fellow members
This is common sense, but any gaslighting, hate speech, bullying, or behavior found to be offensive is not allowed. If you feel that its probably not nice, it probably should not be said.4) Keep all political/heavily religious talk to DMs. This extends to the FC Chat and associated linkshells.
Please note we will not monitor or get involved in private DM conversations between members regarding this matter. Should you wish to engage another in this matter you are responsible for moderating your own emotions on the matter being discussed.5) Any issues that arise should be dealt with privately between the parties involved and the officers handling it.
In short, do not bring it up in FC chat or intentionally cause drama. Doing so is a good way to be removed.6) While this is a 18+ FC do not post pornography or pornographic links, anything explicit, or illegal in the discord channels or in game channels.
The exception to this is the NSFW category for explicit topics, etc, however please note this category has its own rules regarding conduct and what can be posted.7) Please keep channels on topic in the discord server as much as possible. If an admin requests it be moved, move to the referenced channel.
To this extent, please take time to familiarize yourself with our channels, most have a brief description and important information pinned.8) Don't advertise for other websites or services in the discord server. Sharing your deviantart, or patreon if requested by another member is fine. Advertising is not permitted in general channels or the HS-RP linkshell in game.
If you wish to advertise a venue or RP event please contact an officer (this is an exception to the direct DM rule). Please note we do not allow advertising of content only events or Adult venues.9) Seidr & Liddy are not available on Mondays.
We have both put a ton of time into building this FC and take Mondays as a day for us as we play FF to play with each other. Do not contact either during this time.10) Real Life ALWAYS comes first
Real life comes first no matter what. If someone has to bail on an activity, or is unable to make it do not shame them. Get over it and move on.11) RMT Activity or Promotion is STRICTLY BANNED within HS-RP
Simply put, its not fair to honest players, hurts the game, and is the equivalent of cheating. We exercise a zero tolerance policy in regards to RMT activity and offending individuals will be removed.13) Please notify Admin via an admin contact ticket should you decide to leave the FC.
This is for record keeping purposes and helps identify any shortcomings we may be able to work on in the future. You will not be pressured into staying as this is for our information only. What we are looking for in a Stardust member- Courteous and respectful of other players, toxic personalities need not apply.- A desire to make our FC their own and interact with our community through content, socializing, or Roleplaying- Fun people. We like to joke, laugh and play in case that is not clear from all the cat gifs...we like positive people who are like minded. <3- We do require you be on good terms with your prior FC. (IE don't bring drama to our doorstep, While we have a strict 'No Scalping' rule we understand sometimes people want to join us from another FC. If this fits you please leave your prior FC nicely and make your intent clear to avoid drama.)Roleplaying applicants will be admitted to the FC but must complete a character workshop prior to taking part in the FC RP plot. This is not required for FC membership, only FC Plot. (Workshop is to assist in any struggles you may be having with character ideas or help think up fun stuff while also assisting with lore adherence in a laid back teaching manner)
Roleplaying Rules of Stardust
1) While we do accept lore bending, Lore breaking is another story
This should be self explanatory2) Keep IC & OOC Separate.
What happens in character does not reflect the views of the player. Know this difference. In character (IC) interactions do not constitute relationships or views of the player outside of their character (OOC aka RL views). Bottom Line, the FC is not a dating service and FF is not real life.3) No God-modding, Meta-gaming, Etc.
Don't use OOC knowledge your character wouldn't know in RP. Don't auto-hit others, be invincible, etc etc. If you are corrected by an admin on this please take this as a learning opportunity to improve your RP.4) Consent should always be used, and requested, for OOC and IC situations that involve any overly dark or mature themes. No means No.
If you are unsure if people are okay with something, you should ask. This applies for OOC and IC interaction with potentially sensitive situations. If you are uncomfortable with something, tell them directly to stop and the other party is expected to stop. No means no and we expect it to be honored if someone tells you no.5) Do not be offended if the RP does not go as you intended.
While some try to plan, many RPers react specifically with how their character would. If your character says or does something that derails the scene from what was planned, role with it rather than getting upset your idea didn't work.6) IC Actions = IC Consequences.
Draw a weapon on someone? Expect potential retaliation and / or calling of the local city's guards if you're in one of the city hubs. Aka Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...If in doubt, ask would someone realistically do this in the real world, and if so what are the potential outcomes?7) No Erotic Roleplay (ERP) in public or soliciting ERP in FC channels.
If you're gonna do the do, do it in party chat and inside a house/room behind a locked door. Sexual conduct is not allowed inside public areas of the FC or its channels/linkshells.8) Respect the Stardust Venue.
Our FC house is an open public venue open 24/7. While in the FC respect your fellow RPers by refraining from spamming AoEs, Overuse of Mounts, etc. The training dummy is placed behind the FC house for a reason.10) Stardust Administration has final determination for lore within the FC plot.
The game lore changes, as such we strive to stay up to date however there are some things that are restricted (Fantasia, Voidsent, Echo, etc). Stardust admin has final say of what is allowed in our FC canon and what is not regardless of what other FCs may allow in theirs. Example: Fantasia does not exist in lore, if you fanta please bring it up to an officer and most likely it will be a 'They have always been that' type scenario. Voidsent anything be prepared for extensive questioning due to the nature of such.11) Some classes require a soul stone, some don't...some are downright illegal in lore.
Some soul stones are rare, some excessively so, some are downright illegal lore wise to own (WHM/BLM)...and some are practically thrown at anyone who signs up for that job in lore (MCH). Please view the channel in the workshop category in discord for an explanation of RP restricted classes and suggestions if in doubt regarding your desired class or stone availability. We try our best to stay up to date on lore and analyzing job quests to determine soul stone rarity. If your not sure we can help out with this and figuring things out!

Within its walls, guests are equals. Titles, allegiances, and grudges are left outside. These can range from private consultations, research access, logistical coordination, and protection contracts, to mercenary work, adventure commissions, artifact recovery, escort operations, information brokerage, or bespoke event hosting.

The Stardust accommodates both short-term visitors and long-term residents. Suites can be leased indefinitely, and residents often maintain their own private staff and operations under the Hotel’s supervision.Non-Interference Policy
Guests are strictly forbidden from bringing “work” onto the premises that could violate neutrality. Any infraction results in immediate expulsion and permanent revocation of membership privileges.
If an act of violence or coercion is directed toward another guest, the response is summary execution — carried out quickly and without public spectacle. The rules are simple, and everyone knows them.Reputation and Standing

Dahl Trading Consortium
Overview
The Dahl Trading Consortium (DTC) is a massive Thavnairian-based trade organization founded by Ikania Dahl, great-great-grandmother of I'lydia Dahl. Though it exerts little influence over the day-to-day operations of Hotel Stardust, its vast wealth and resources provide the foundation upon which the establishment stands.Scope and Operations
From its roots in Thavnair, the DTC expanded steadily over generations to rival the largest Eorzean trading syndicates in power and reach. Today, it oversees dozens of smaller businesses and organizations under its corporate banner, boasting a formidable fleet of airships and ocean vessels that transport goods, guests, and supplies wherever they are needed. The consortium’s efficiency and reliability make it a key logistical ally of Hotel Stardust, ensuring that luxury and comfort remain uninterrupted no matter how distant the destination.Reputation and Humanitarian Efforts
The DTC has become a household name across the Near East, admired for its rare blend of profit and philanthropy. While commerce remains its lifeblood, the consortium has built a strong reputation for humanitarian outreach, delivering aid to disaster-stricken regions, funding reconstruction efforts, and donating materials and manpower to communities in need. Its balance of business acumen and compassion has earned it deep respect within both Thavnair and Eorzea.“Commerce in service of kindness.”
The Star Wisp Apothecary is an independent organization from the Hotel, though still beneath the DTC's umbrella since its in verse acquisition. In RP it acts as the medicinal supply for the Hotel in addition to its own apothecary business.For FC purposes, This is a smaller FC (Membership capped at 50 max) that is still considered to be a part of HS-RP. It was made for those who join our ranks, but due to extreme social anxieties may not be the best fit for a larger FC and the sometimes social anxiety inducing nature of them - this way they can operate in a segmented space that is a similar atmosphere to that of a small FC as it has its own FC house and staffing, while also taking advantage of the activity amount and resources of a larger FC (Giveaways, etc) as they feel up to it.Transfers from HS-RP to FEY are done on a case by case basis.
